Elisabeth Leja

Elisabeth is a graduate of the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, where she specialized in International Affairs and European Public Policy right after studying law with a special focus on the Legal Structure of Political Processes in Mannheim and Düsseldorf / Germany. Having a fondness for the interception of law and politics in Africa, Elisabeth has spent three months working for a German political foundation in Windhoek, Namibia, on several projects and initiatives concerning the fields of democracy, rule of law and institutional development assistance. After a research stay in Johannesburg, South Africa, she submitted her thesis on the third constitutional amendment act in Namibia and its effects on the democratization of the country. Right now, Elisabeth is pursuing her PhD in the field of constitutional theory and practice in sub-Saharan Africa.
